Butabika Hospital is Approved Training provider for Colombo plan. From 12th –16th -08-2024, Butabika Hospital organized an Echo -Training on Women’s Intervention of Substance Exposure: Comprehensive care for Substance USe Disorder (WISE) Course 1 at Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital from 12th to 16th August 2024 led by Grace Bikumbi a clinical Psychologist, certified International addict professional , Global Master Trainer and board member of the ISSUP Uganda chapter.
The training was opened by the Executive Director of Butabika Dr. Nakku Juliet who emphasized on providing quality care for the patients and also Ensuring gender bases care treatment.
The training attracted a total of 35 participants and was graced by Dr David Basangwa, commissioner GCCC who argued the participants to use the knowledge acquired to the betterment of the health profession but also to pass the information to other colleagues at their places of work as this will create synergy in service delivery but also ensure that the principle of Do No Harm is upheld.
